How to Use the CDAP Grant to Pay for Your New Website

Who used to qualify

• A for-profit business registered and operating in Canada
• At least 1 employee (or the owner drawing income from the business)
• Consumer-facing — the grant is meant for businesses that sell to individuals, not pure B2B operations
• Met the program's minimum revenue threshold, which the guidelines set around $30,000/year

How the money used to get applied

While it ran, the grant worked as a rebate against eligible digital adoption costs — a new website, e-commerce setup, or similar online-presence work — rather than cash handed over upfront. The project got built and paid for as normal, and the grant offset a defined portion of that cost once the paperwork was submitted and approved. It was a reimbursement, not a discount applied at checkout.

What to do instead

This specific $2,400 stream is gone, but digital-adoption support for small businesses tends to reappear in different forms provincially and federally over time.
